Travelogue
Magazine - Summer 2018

Welcome to Travelogue Magazine, the Ireland Issue!

My own magazine, filled with twenty designs inspired by the Emerald Isle! Beautiful photography throughout! Each project is at a beginner or intermediate-beginner level and includes clear instructions and complete resource list. Designed for those of us who love travel, culture and making beautiful jewelry! I believe in wearable, trendy jewelry design and this pattern fits the bill.

Here’s what you’ll find our Ireland Issue:

New techniques that inspire new projects and ideas. I don’t know many “Beads or Bust” beaders. Along this line I designed pieces that borrow techniques and materials from other craft disciplines. In the one section you’ll find some painted metal pieces, lace doily elements and buttons from my button hoard (we all have one).

Again, I included several jewelry sets. They’re a popular request and a practical way to use the full strands of beads we buy. But you’ll also see some “bead soup” pieces that make the most out of lone beads. Odd beads are part of bead collections so it’s always nice to have some designs in your arsenal that use them up.

And lastly, as an Irish blessing, I’m also including my family recipe for soda bread. It’s a hearty comfort for a rainy day.

To good friends, good beads, and good times. Slainte!
